Treatment Trail 2015
Running 200-plus miles in a week is definitely a challenge. But it's just running. When you get tired, you just walk.
There are many families in Wisconsin who face true challenges every day. And when they get tired, there are no walk breaks.
Treatment Trail is our way of honoring and trying to help those families who face the daily challenges of caring for a youngster who has been stricken with a serious illness. The families who have organized Treatment Trail understand the obstacles these families face and want to do their part to offer some assistance. We are asking you to step onto our Treatment Trail and help us help others.
During our week-long fund-raising trek from the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) to Sister Bay, we have organized 8 different 5K run/walk events in 8 different cities. We hope you will be able to join us for one or more of these events as we raise money for the Go Bo Foundation and CHW.
The Go Bo Foundation was created to assist families that need to make numerous trips to CHW. It provides financial assistance as well as a network of people who are always available to lend a helping hand. Visit GO BO Foundation for more information.
Treatment Trail 2015 is set to take place June 12 - 20, beginning in Wauwatosa and traveling to Port Washington, Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Appleton, De Pere, Sturgeon Bay and Sister Bay. Registration is easy, and one sign up gets participants into as many of the 5K events as they wish.
Last year we were able to donate about $16,000 to these two incredible organizations. In year two, we know we can at least double that amount. Help us make a difference in the lives of families who could use a little walk break.
